The redevelopment of the Sir Alexander Fleming Building marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of Imperial College's campus. As the inaugural phase of the initiative, this project demanded meticulous planning and innovative solutions to set the standard for future developments.

MAPUK played a central role in advising on the enhancement of the existing laboratory facilities within the Sir Alexander Fleming Building. Recognising the critical importance of medical research advancements, our team collaborated closely with stakeholders to design a state-of-the-art laboratory environment that would foster innovation.

To meet the stringent requirements of modern research laboratories, we specified a range of cutting-edge ventilation solutions. Among these were the DINO-T laminar flow diffusers, renowned for their superior performance in displacement ventilation systems. With their flexibility and high capacity, these diffusers provided optimal air distribution, ensuring a controlled and sterile environment conducive to scientific inquiry.

Additionally, our recommendation of AKD gas tight dampers further underscored our commitment to precision and reliability in laboratory operations. These dampers enabled the precise control and balancing of airflow rates, crucial for maintaining optimal conditions within the research facility.

By leveraging our expertise and advanced ventilation technologies, MAPUK facilitated the creation of a world-class laboratory facility at the Sir Alexander Fleming Building. This project stands as a testament to our dedication to excellence in supporting ventilation solutions in research facilities.
