Wimbledon Bridge House

The reconfiguration and update of a landmark office building in Wimbledon saw MAP play a major part in the infrastructure upgrade. A comprehensive array of Air Diffusers were specified, providing a welcoming and comfortable internal environment for the employees of a major investment firm.

Located opposite Wimbledon Station, Wimbledon Bridge House has undergone a major refurbishment which has seen the building’s internal space reconfigured and updated to Grade A standard as well as a new entrance and reception area. Working with MAP, specialist contractor LSC Building Services were tasked with the installation of the building services of this 5600m2 category B fit out in line with the high level requirements of new tenant, investment firm Close Brothers.

Central to the redesign throughout each office area was the specification of DLA7 High Induction Swirl Diffusers which were integrated into the acoustic ceiling panels to both minimise impact and maintain the required air flow.

For this high profile fit-out we were able to provide a complete system to the client which included Diffusers, Grilles, Silencers, Variable Air Volume Dampers and Reheaters. One of the principal challenges was the unusual 750mm x 750mm tile size but due to our technical manufacturing experience we were able to replicate this with High Induction Diffusers, with extract Grilles to match.

As DLA Diffusers are easily adjusted and can be set to suit varying room conditions, even after installation. The highly inductive, fanned rotational flow made it possible to handle high cooling loads and still maintain comfortable air conditions.

For the main lobby reception areas, a large hexagonal arrangement of LDB Diffusers was a feature design item which met the interior aesthetics and the demands of the corporate occupiers.

The LDB Linear Air Diffusers are designed for inconspicuous installation and ensure draft-free air flow due to fast mixing of supplied air and room air by way of individual jets within the units. The ceiling mounted Air Diffusers feature aerodynamically designed slot nozzles which provide low noise air distribution.

With this prime office location in Wimbledon now reconfigured and upgraded, we are delighted our comprehensive range of ventilation solutions ensure optimum comfort for Close Brothers' staff whilst at the same time being seamlessly integrated into this Grade A office space.
