Navigating the intricate balance between preserving historical charm and meeting modern hospitality standards posed a significant challenge in the transformation of the original Grade II listed grammar school into a luxurious 70-bedroom, 5-star boutique hotel.

MAPUK played a pivotal role in overcoming this complexity by providing invaluable advice and services tailored to seamlessly integrate the old and the new. Our expertise proved instrumental in addressing the integration of existing period features, such as timber wall panelling, while meeting the architect's and interior designer's collective vision for the project.

For discreet and sympathetic integration, we specified a selection of Mini-Swirl diffusers and fine mesh Micro Blades, strategically mounted to respect the building's heritage and architectural integrity. These ventilation solutions not only provided optimal airflow but also enhanced the overall design aesthetic, ensuring a cohesive blend of tradition and modernity throughout the hotel.

In the guest bedrooms, our recommendation of LDB12/8 high induction clean system ensured an environment of optimum comfort and well-being. By prioritising both functionality and guest experience, we contributed to the successful transformation of the historic grammar school into a sophisticated and inviting boutique hotel.
